at the zoo

Yesterday we went to the zoo... and wouldn't you know that when we were nearly there and completely extra outfit-less lily would of course barf all over herself in her car seat.  smelly smmmmmeeellly.  I felt so bad for her as she looked at me with this "what the heck is going on??" face.  I'm sure it must be pretty confusing for kids, one minute they aren't feeling too hot and the next they're breakfast is all over their lap.  Pretty weird stuff.  Well, we cleaned her up as best we could, rolled down all the windows, and bought her a new shirt once we got to the zoo.  Zoo, we need to have a chat about your t-shirt prices.

Well, the rest of the day was great and Lily came back to her normal self after a few hours (it's crazy how quickly kids bounce back) and she had a great time playing with her cousins while the a-dults got some laughs and catching up in.  All in all, a great zoo trip with a few unexpected twists - but that's what happens when you've got kids, right?

we caught the elephant show - um amazing animals, this one (her name is Zuri) taught herself how to do a head stand.  I can't even do a head stand.

lily was terrified of the anamatronic dinosaurs they had there...as you can see, she hid. :)
